Using SupportTrio's Database Maintenance Utilities

A number of tools for maintaining your SupportTrio database can be found under Settings->Utilities.

Many of the utilities you'll find allow you to purge information from your database that may no longer be needed. For very active support centers, purging information from the database can help to improve the overall speed of SupportTrio. However, be careful and take your time when using these tools, as purged data is not recoverable.

The first three sections purge tickets, ticket attachments, and ticket actions histories. Each purge option allows you to select the minimum age (duration) of data to be purged, to limit the purge to one or more departments, and to limit the purge by ticket status. For the Purge Ticket Actions History tool, you may also select the specific actions that you'd like purged from the history, allowing you to preserve information that may still be valuable to your business.

Other purge options available on the utilities page include the ability to purge Unused Ticket Attachments, Unactivated User Accounts (prior to a given date), E-mail Account Logs, and Invalid Tickets which are tickets that have no posts within them. You can also purge the message sources of your tickets, which SupportTrio saves in order to provide you access to message headers and other message data.

You can also find tools here that will allow you to Close Old Tickets and to Move Uncategorized Tickets into the department of your choice.
