Satellite Desks

A satellite desk is a separate public face for your support center. When you create a new satellite desk, SupportTrio makes a complete copy of its public template files into a new directory. This allows you to provide multiple customized helpdesk interfaces for seperate areas of your site. Each satellite desk can be assigned its own set of departments, knowledge base articles, troubleshooters, and file libraries. All of the tickets submitted through any of your satellite desks come through the same unified SupportTrio admin interface for your staff to answer.

You can create and edit your satellite desk settings under Settings->Satellite Desks. The name you give your satellite desks determines their location within your SupportTrio directory structure. For example, if your SupportTrio installation is at http://yourdomain.com/tt/, then a satellite desk named "mydesk" will be found at http://yourdomain.com/tt/desk/mydesk/. By editing the template files in the /tt/desk/mydesk/ directory, you can customize the look and feel of the satellite desk.
